It looks clean and uncluttered - I like it.
I notice in the header that there is an external link to Cases - I assume that's a link out to the MyOSIsoft site - good.
Thanks for the feedback Steve! Regarding cases, there is a tight integration with our new community and myOSIsoft allowing customers and partners to have a much better experience flipping between the two, at least that's the hope.
The current PI Square has a button to arrange the groups in a grid, so that is nothing new, but I still see your point about the new layout looking uncluttered. In the new layout, all of the visually tiny stuff (type of group, member count, owner, etc.) is grouped together, whereas in the current layout, you have tiny numbers and tiny icons scattered all over the place.
Agree with Steve Boyko, clean, uncluttered.Looking forward to it.
I agree with Steve. This looks nice, Jarita.
Not to highjack your thread with a side topic, but since I seem some integration with the customer portal, I can't help but ask: will the new PI Square be behind a paywall? I miss the old days when a lot of Tech Support, such as KB's, was available for browsing by anyone on the Internet. When the customer portal was released, only registered customers could have access to the KB's. I think this was a misstep on the part of OSIsoft and I certainly hope PI Square doesn't make the same mistake.
Highjack away Rick! PI Square will continue to be open for all and searched on Google. It will not be behind the paywall.
Also, thank you so much for your feedback on the collateral - I'll definitely pass that forward! (Darragh Perrow)
That is great to hear, Jarita. Granted your competitors can browse at PI Square, which I don't think that is a bad thing. More importantly, potential customers can browse too and I bet they will be impressed with the openness and technical quality of posts on PI Square. This only works in your favor.
"I bet they will be impressed with the openness and technical quality of posts on PI Square"
So, Rick, you need to keep posting...
True Tim! Hope nothing stops Rick from sharing his knowledge!!!
Thanks for asking that question, Rick Davin. I'm happy that PI Square will remain open. It is a great resource for many people and a great way to advertise this great, supportive community that has arisen around PI.
Could not agree more with that!
What is the difference between "Active Groups" and "My Groups"? Also, I see that there is a description underneath "Mining, Metals & Materials" but not the other groups. Why is that?
I still have to enter all the descriptions. I'm behind due to the industry summits this week.
Active really means all groups, but they order them by last activity in the group, so I think that's why it's call active.
My groups is the list of groups you have already joined.
looks nice.... keep the improvements coming
