How can I take a tag that comes in at 1138 and divide that by 10 to output 113.8? What I have is a RTD that comes in as four digits then I edit that in the tag database in Factory Talk to show that temp at 113.8. Can I do the same in Pi?
Check your interface manual to see if your specific interface supports it. There should be a section in the interface manual that will describe it's function
The conversion factor depends on the interface/application that is writing to the PI Tag (where the raw data is coming from).
Some interfaces can use the conversion attribute while others don't support it. The most common use of the conversion attribute is for totalizers to switch between units of seconds to hours or days.
The interface is FTLD
I'm not familiar with the interface you are using but PI tag scaling might help.
Make sure to check the interface manual to verify that such functionality is supported in your case and how you should configure it...
