Tag value is not updating it is showing as configure. I tried to change status from scan OFF or ON but still tag value is not updating.
What's writing to this PI Point? Is the data source updating? If this is an OPC DA tag, typically Configure means that the instrument tag doesn't match the path in the OPC Server.
On OPC server I can see the data is updating. and also the instrument tag is same as path in the OPC server. I tried changing Scan status to off, then also value is showing configure.
You need to exactly map the OPC item id as a instrument tag in PI Point. To verify an ItemID, use OPCClient. If the OPC server supports browsing, choose List Server’s Tags to see a list of defined ItemIDs. To display the full ItemID required for InstrumentTag field, double-click the ItemID in the list.
Provide some screenshots of your OPC client and PI Point configuration.
My instrument tag name is exactly same as opc item id. If I copy paste my instrument tag name in OPC item id I am able to find those tag.
Also on OPC i can see the value for this tag reading good but on PI DA server i see those value as configure.
Please check the PI message log on the interface machine during interface start up. It will definetely give some information like OPC tag not found/security relatedLogs/Interface rejects all the PI Points etc..,

I recently had a case where the instrument tag didn't match the item ID on the OPC server. The error that I got was "Comm Fail" and not "Configure".
As Vasanth Kumar said, prasad Pashte should provide a bit more information. I wonder if there is any useful error message in the message logs on the PI Interface computer when the PI Interface is restarted.
Instrument tag name is exactly similar to item id / Path on both the OPC server (Primary &Secondary). I am also able to see the good values for those tags on OPC server using OPC Client tool. But the values are not updating to PI DA server only to this specific tags. On DA server I can only see the value as Configure for specific 2/3 tags.
Troubleshooting activity perform as below.
1. We tried doing Scan ON and OFF as part of troubleshooting.
2.Instrument tag name and item id/path are same.
3.We have also verified all the locations (location 1=1 , location 2 = 0, Location 3 = 1 ,Location =1) .
4.On OPC point type is VT_I4 and VT_R4 and in SMT it is configured as Int 32 and Float 32 respectively.
5.I have also checked all the message logs on interface during startup node but I did not found any input for this.
But I can see one message "AddItems failed for tag <>, type VT_R4: The ItemID is not in the server address space (c0040007)"
6.These tags were updating good values before but since last 2 month they are showing configure values.
7.For some other tags of this category are data is updating fine.
Is there any way to check point ids for this tags are block or not ?Any suggestion on this will be really helpful.
This error message: ""AddItems failed for tag <>, type VT_R4: The ItemID is not in the server address space (c0040007)" typically indicates that the path to the item in the OPC Server is incorrect. This means the instrumenttag doesn't match the path, or at least the interface is picking up a difference. I've seen this a few times, if the instrumenttag is copy\pasted from another application like Outlook, or a .pdf hidden characters are present in the string. As a test, perhaps you could remove the instrument tag and rewrite it manually to see if that does the trick.
To elaborate on Seb's post above, I once ran into a similar issue. I had inadvertently copied a space at the beginning or end of the OPC ItemID. That would be something to check.
