I have a code where I read the attribute type names of a given element (MyResult = myAttribute.Type.Name). I am only considering the PI Point and Formula data references.
Since some of my AF elements where created by the "PI AF Link Subsystem", all attributes had their data types set as "Object" (even if most of these attributes are associated to numeric PI Points). Is there a simple way to get the "true" data type of a given AF attribute, when the attribute type = Object and data reference = PI Point? Should I first get the tag name then try to get the type point or there is a direct way that can be executed directly from AFSDK?
