# AF Paths In Performance Equation

Hi

Is it possible to use AF paths in Performance Equation syntax using the Web Service SDK?

afRequest.Path = @"pe:\\server\path\to\element1|xyz+\\server\path\to\element2|abc"

piTimeSeriesClient.GetSummary( new [] { afRequest } )

Thanks

@Ashok: No, it's not possible. Although, you can configure an attribute based on a formula data reference that does the same and query this attribute instead. A PE path can only refer to PI Point to be valid.

Hi

I think I had my terminology mixed up - all I really need to do is a data query:

afRequest.Path = @"af:\\server\path\to\element1|xyz+\\server\path\to\element2|abc"

piTimeSeriesClient.GetSummary( new[] { afRequest } )
This does not seem to be a supported scenario.
Thanks

@Ashok: This syntax you gave is not compatible with af keyword, it is only supported with the pe one. As I mentionned the best way is to configure an attribute that performs this calculation.
