PINetMgr lost error leak

If I connect to a PI Server (Get-PIServer, then Connect-PIServer), then stop the PI Server (subsequently I start the PI Server again), then when the PISrvStop.bat command file stops PI Network Manager I get an error message "PI Network Manager lost" leaked on to the PowerShell console. I would have thought I should get that error if I tried to connect before restarting, but wasn't expecting it whilst running PISrvStop.bat (via Start-Process).  Are my expectations wrong?
