    SAP HANA

Anybody already pushing data to SAP HANA for analysis & reporting?

What about OSIsoft, in particular Abacus, building an in-memory analytical engine? SAP HANA places itself at the lower end of the "big data" scale, but what about positioning Abacus slightly lower down that scale again. Or what if the PI Server could hold entire archives in memory on a high powered server having something like 1TB of RAM; would it be able to complete at the lower end of the big data scale? 10 million point PI server with 100 million events in memory, then (for example) hourly averages for last 5 years would return < 1 ms and only be delayed by network latency from giving the resultset back to the client. Don't really want to wait for PI in the Sky (or equivalent) because we should have this on-premise too.
