I have an if them else situation where i have to evaluate to NULL value .
I can do this in PE using the NoOutPut() function.
Is there a similar function in AF also?
You could try the IsBad function. Have not tried that though on a NULL, but an educated guess tells me NULL is bad inthe PI world.
Are you talking about using the AF Formula Data Reference? If so, please refer to the example below:
if badval(A) then 1 else 0
If this is not case, please provide more details about what do you mean by AF calculated attribute.
Hey Guys...I think Ajay wants the reverse, he's not checking for Nulls but wants to return a Null like you get with the NoOutput() function in PE.
I guess something like below would work, you'd just have to handle it in your consumer (PSE would flag the value as bad).
if A == 0 then digstate("Bad") else A
if A == 0 then digstate("Null") else A
if A == 0 then digstate("NoOutput") else A
It doesn't return a Null object but a digital state representing that which would flag the value as bad quality.
(I'm assuming here with Marcos that you mean the Formula DR).
