We have been storing high speed (sub-millisecond) data in PI. Unfortunately, we have mixed up instantaneous data with RMS data.
Now we have to delete all the currently loaded data and restart.
As there are about 2000 tags and 3 years of data, the data deletion process will be slow.
My questions relate to the impact on the archive files.
If the data is deleted from the tags, is the archive space 'reclaimed' and is re-usable ?
If not, it seems that it would be easier to delete the tags and then recreate them.
Any thoughts or suggestions to assist my decision ?
