After reading http://techsupport.osisoft.com/techsupport/nontemplates/KB/article.aspx?id=KB00966 i realized that we will only get rid of the SVGviewer when SharePoint 2013 is used. Re-reading the release notes, i realized it's in there so i have overlooked the implication of the few scentences in there... As webparts are commonly used on corporare environments, i do not expect customers to switch over to SP2013 quickly. However, i do want to use all of the good things that WP2013 brings us, and especially the native SVG support.
As the KB explains, it will fallback to SVG viewer for most browsers. Is there any way, preferred in a subsite or page level, how this behaviour can be overridden? In other words, what options do we have to run WP2013 on SP2010 without needing the Adobe SVGviewer? I'm not really a SharePoint expert, so that's why i'm asking here if anybody has some ideas.
