    PI AF - Excel

      Hello Guys,

Just wondering, if there is something in excel/pidatalink similar to Element Relative Display in Process Book. What i want to achieve, a tree view listing elements on left side of my excel sheet, upon selecting any element, get the attribute (averages, totals etc.. via pidatalink functions) to the sheet. any ideas !! we may call it Element Relative Excel Report

I'd recommend to get all the data you need using DataLink's capabilities to get data from AF, or to use an OLEDB Enterprise Query. Then present the data using a PivotTable, so that the data can be accessed in the way you describe, using the built-in filtering, grouping, and sorting capabilities of the Excel PivotTables.
