Interfacing data from a device with no OSIsoft Interface available.

Does OSIsoft support the development of customer written interfaces based upon UniInt?

I have not seen any documentation or downloads related to this, so I assume the only options for customers to get data from devices without a dedicated interface is to write custom code to get the data from the device and then write that data via one of the many API's into the Pi System, (SDK, OLEDB, ODBC, SOAP WebService, REST WebService, etc).

However, this creates the need to recreate much of the functionality that the UniInt architecture takes care of out of the box.  Such things as local buffering, performance metrics, loggings etc.

      Thanks,
