I am using PI webpart 2013 in sharepoint 2013
on production sever , when i add a gauge webpart , all what i am getting is a gray rectangle.even if i configure it with tag i am still getting gray rectangle.
Hi kindly any idea about this I need to solve this urgently
does it need svg....i know it is html on sharepoint 2013
on my test server it works using html only
Good day Francois,
Which browser do you use? Please see PI Webparts browser compatibility instructions here: https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Troubleshooting/KB/KB00966
https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Troubleshooting/KB/KB00966In case you'll need Adobe SVG Viewer, it can be downloaded from the official website: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/magic/svgviewer/win/3.x/3.03/en/SVGView.exe
I applied svg viewer , same gray box.
but it seems i have something else.when i click on the gauge and i select "PI GAUGE TOOLS" in the Ribbon (up) i am having 5 error messages on the GAUGE webpart showing the same error below:
"fGetGaugeUpdateData:Unable to get property 'GetNodes' of undefined or null reference failed"
maybe i am getting this error because the is no object rendred to show properties but i just wanted to let you know about this.
i am thinking about the reasons behind this,i went to sharepoint webparts gallery,Gauge webpart is there and there is nothing wrong about it.
where i can look additional info about what is happening.PI message log not showing any error.
when adding a Gauge webpart what is happening internally? what is the process(steps)?.I think one of steps is failing that is why it is not showing.
Is there Anything special about he Gauge webpart, because the other webparts are showing normally.
I just checked the event viewer log files and i got the below warning message for PI gauge:
[osisoft.rtwebparts.RTGAUGE,VERSION=4.0000.........:Exception Block:index was out of range.must be non negative and less then the size of the collection......]
What browser are you using? If you are using IE11 you must make sure to have it load the site in Compatibility View.
I am using IE10
If you have a SharePoint page open, click on your username in the top right corner and choose My Settings. On the next page, choose My Language and Region. What time zone is selected on this page? This issue can occur if you are using a time zone which has ended Daylight Savings Time. To test if this is the issue, try changing the time zone to one which has not recently ended DST (such as (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time). If this resolves the issue, please contact OSIsoft Technical Support.
I will try this first thing tomorrow morning and will let you .
So here you are talking about sharepoint user timezone and not sharepoint server time zone.
Yes, The issue "PI webpart 2013 Gauge rendered as gray rectangle" has been resolved by changing the time zone to the correct one.The timezone setting can be changed webapplication, site and user level.
Thanks a lot.
