I try to create new transpoze function in DataT folder in SQL Commander.
On the end in wizard i have an error, dont know what the reason.
Is there any log file where i can check details.
I would suggest tech support for this type of query, you will get a faster response. However, do you have admin rights on the AF server? When you look at the AF databases do you see the Configuration database? The Transforms are stored in the Configuration database under thru OSIsoft\PI SQL node (path might not be perfectly correct as this is out memory). The most likely cause is that you don't have sufficient rights.
Yes, I have admin rights and I can see Configuration database.
I was talking to the developers. The issue you are experiencing appears with write access to the Configuration database as already suggested by Michael.
1. PI SQL commander needs to "run as" Administrator.2. The user account running PI SQL Commander needs write access to the configuration database in AF at \OSIsoft\PI SQL including sub-elements.
You can check and change the security with PI System Explorer by right-clicking an element and selecting "Security".
Thanks for support
I am facing the same issue. I have checked the security details and I have write access to the database. But still I am not able to create the new transpose function. Please help me in solving this issue.
To my best knowledge, there are the 2 before mentioned conditions that need to be fulfilled for the Transpose Function Wizard to be able to write the configuration. Sometimes 2 pair of eyes see more than just one. Therefore please consider asking a colleague to verify the requirements together with you.
You can as well reach out to OSIsoft Technical Support and ask for assistance e.g. through a remote session. When you do so, please play nice and refer this discussion.
If the Transpose Function Wizard is still not working, the Technical Support Engineer will be happy to assist you further in identifying the cause.
