This is the correct thread for you to clarify all of your questions concerning PI AF SDK workshop.
I hope your learning goes well.
I have a first question to ask to this group to help you learn or review some notions. I will ask the community to refrain from giving the answer for now. I ask for each student of this group to think about the possible answer and share with the rest of the group on Nov 5th at 9:00 AM (UTC-5h). This would leave all the students from different countries enough time to search/find for an answer.
When required, share your answer under the form of a code snippet/real example.
As you know, OSIsoft.AFSDK comes with two different versions of the assembly. Could you describe different scenarios and use cases where each one of them should be used?
Does anyone have an answer for the question above? You can start posting here...
I think that if you are building a project that requires it to be targeted against .NET Framework version 3.5 and below such as when you are using pre-compiled libraries that are built against those versions and it is not possible to recompile them, then it would be beneficial to use the AFSDK version 22.214.171.124 rather than 126.96.36.199.
