PI DataLink Basics, Module 8: Capstone Project

Discussion created by Pablo Benvenuto Champion on Sep 7, 2012

Congratulations on making it this far.  All that remains for you to complete the workshop is to submit your Capstone Project before the deadline.  This should be the most interesting part of this workshop.  The capstone assignment is designed to help you immediately apply and get value from what you learned in this workshop.

To successfully complete this assignment you must create an actual report, analysis, or some other tool with Excel and PI DataLink that you will actually use at work and that contains your production data (If this is not available to you, you will have to request access to the Virtual Learning Environment).  Your project must have a minimum level of complexity determined by the number of PI DataLink features used, the number of PI Tags involved, the amount of data involved and the presentation and formatting of the report.  This level of complexity should be equal to the most difficult optional Learning Labs available in this workshop.

This assignment must be completed and submitted before the end of the workshop.  You can attach your excel file to this discussion if you wish to share it with the community, or you can email it to the instructor.  Student data submitted via email will never be shared with other students or individuals, and will be reviewed only by the OSIsoft instructor.  All materials will be permanently destroyed at the end of the workshop.

Post your comments here or email your instructor if you have any questions about your project.  We hope you enjoyed the PI DataLink Basics workshop.
