I want to add pi point attributes in af elements attributes using PSE?
How to do it?\
It looks like you have already selected the PI Point Data Reference type. If you click on 'Settings...' this should open the 'PI Point Data Reference' window. To the right of the field 'Tag name:' you should see a magnifying glass. This can be used to open a tag search window so that you can find your PI tag. Once your tag is selected, click OK, and that should do it!
The attribute i'm loooking for is not present in settings.
I want to add instrumenttag attribute in AF element.
Do I understand correctly? You want to return the value of the PI tag's instrumenttag attribute as the value of the AF attribute "it" as in your picture?
If this is right, I don't believe you can do this with a PI Point Data Reference. This data reference exists to allow you to pull in a PI tag's value or some calculation of it. I think one option you have to access the tag's attributes is to use a Table Lookup Data Reference to find the attribute you want after storing this information in a table. For the actual table, you can create a new one in AF or create one to link to an external source.
Ah, yes. We do have an AF Work Item for this request: 2630 "PI Point DR should be able to reference attributes of PIPoint as well."
If you have the PI OLEDB Provider than you can do this with an AF Linked Table:
PI OLEDB Provider exposes the PI Server to SQL like queries
you can then create a Linked Table to query the PIPoint table for a tag and its corresponding instrument tag
from there you can reference the table with an AF Attribute by looking up the instrument tag according to the tag name:
External - Provider=PIOLEDB;User ID="";Initial Catalog=pipoint;Data Source=;Integrated Security=SSPI;Command Timeout=-1;Log Level=0;Log File="";Shorten Primary Keys=False;Always Return Rowset=False;Defer Execution=False;Identifier Prefixes=False;Disable Server Selection=False;Time as Double=False;Optimization Log Limit=100;Session ID=1;Keep Default Ordering=True;Session Pipelines=1;Current Time Precision=0;Function Errors as NULL=True;Cancel On Low Resources=True;Show Hidden Metadata=False;Application Identity="";Default Timestep=1h;Integers as Value=False;Timestamp Interval Start=False;Support PI Wildcards=True;Time Zone=Local;Connection Type=PreferPrimary;Max Cache Size=100000;Server Log="";
Thanks to all,
I got the hint and it worked by creating a table in AF and mapping it in element template, which got reflected in all respective elements.
Thanks and regards,
