CURRENT SET UP (Around 8.5k tag):

Interface 1 on Data collector 1

Point Source: A

Interface ID: 1

Interface 2 on Data collector 2

Point Source: B

Interface ID: 1

Interface on PI SERVER for PI PING

Point Source: Ping

Interface ID: 1

Interface on PI SERVER for PIPerfMon1

Point Source: PERFMON

Interface ID: 1

I am confused as to why my Interface ID was set as 1 for all instances. Should I change this to the following:

Interface 1 on Data collector 1

Point Source: A

Interface ID: 1

Interface 2 on Data collector 2

Point Source: B

Interface ID: 2

Interface on PI SERVER for PI PING

Point Source: Ping

Interface ID: 3

Interface on PI SERVER for PIPerfMon1

Point Source: PERFMON

Interface ID: 3

Can anyone give me some ideas on best practices for what should be done with the Interface ID? Is my current setup bad for performance?

Thanks,

Max
