Is there a way to get a Trend Cursor to pop up on an AD HOC Display from clicking a value on PROCESSBOOK Display uploaded to PI Coresight 2014 HTML5 Webpage?
ProcessBook displays on PI Coresight 2014 have some limitations such as no support for VBA or Trend Cursor. If the ad hoc display is opened up within the ProcessBook display, trend cursor is not supported. However, if you click on the "ad hoc display" button on the top right corner, you can open up a Coresight Silverlight display which shows trend cursor. Will that work for your application?
Yah in Pi Webparts if you double clicked a value you could get a trend window popup. Within that window you could right click and add a cursor. Trend cursor on the Silverlight portion of PI Webparts works fine, but it still requires Silverlight. Not all our computers have Silverlight. I have no control of when people get that installed. Do you guys know if this is just a limitation of HTML5? or perhaps there is something in the works to create a trend cursor for these processbook displayed values.
Yes, trend cursors will be included in upcoming releases. If you look at the PI Coresight roadmap, functionality regarding trend cursors will be improved in both minor releases scheduled for this year.
To add on, I believe that Daphne is referring to the dynamic trend cursor (that cursor doesn't display the value). I see no way to have the static trend cursor that displays the value too like in Processbook.
Ouch okay thanks.
