I have unistalled SQL Server 2014, and installed SQL Server 2008 R2 on the server that is running PI.
Do I have to do something to my PI setup?
Hello Mr. Solo,
The PI Server installation inlcudes two major components: PI AF and PI Data Archive (PI Server).
By uninstalling your SQL Server you potentially have removed the AF Database. You should consult internally in your company to figure out if PI AF was used. If yes, you will need the latest backup or the databases files if they still exist on the server.
However, downgrading an SQL database is not an easy task.
If you need to go down this path I would recomment you contact OSIsoft technical support to get assistance.
On the other hand, if AF was not used you can just re-install the AF database manually and reconfigure the AF Service.
