Can I use PI-SDK with Embarcadero C++ Builder XE6?

My company is looking to bid on a potential contract that would require direct communication using PI protocols. I do not have any experience working with PI or the PI-SDK, and I am wondering if there would be any hurdles to clear to use it in Embarcadero C++ Builder XE6. Everything I am reading at this early juncture indicates that there shouldn't be any problem using it (since it is just C++), but all of the examples/tutorials/documentation are in C#/.NET using Visual Studio, both of which I have limited experience with. My company already has applications that can communicate via OPC, ODBC Databases, and Excel (which is sound like PI Data Access would expose), but the client is unwilling to budge on the native PI-SDK communication requirement. Doing some cursory googling returned next to nothing pertaining to PI-SDK and C++ Builder, so I turn to you. Has anyone used the PI-SDK with C++ Builder (any version)?
