Hi All,

Stuck-up!! Please advice on the below scenario...

I have created the tags for PI Modbus interface, I was trying to apply resolution factor to the newly created tags as per the PI Modbus Ethernet Manual. but its seems to be not working.

Scenario:

Raw Value is 52

After Conversion/Resolution factor Value should be 26

I have tried the following combinations:

1)

Conversion Factor - 2

Square Root  - 3

Exdesc - 0

2)

Conversion Factor - 2

Square Root  - 3

Exdesc - (empty)

3)

Conversion Factor - 2

Square Root  - 5

Exdesc - 0

4)

Conversion Factor - 2

Square Root  - 5

Exdesc - (empty)

I was wondering that this could be the issue, please correct me if I'm wrong. - I have created the tags without conversion factor i.e Covers as 1,Sqroot as 0 and Exdesc as Null for which I was receiving raw value as 52. even after applying its not working. Does it mean that if I need the conversion factor I need to apply while creating itself.

Else does it require a PI Modbus Interface Restart after this conversion factor?

Below is the Tag configuration:

Recommended Conversion factor in PI Modbus E Manual -
