How to use AFSDK to write a string value to a numeric attribute.

Hello,

I am trying to leverage the AFSDK to write string values to numeric attribute types (e.g. Double, Single, etc…). Basically, I want to replicate the functionality of using the “digstate()” function from the “Formula” data reference using C# code to write string messages if certain conditions are met. Otherwise, a numeric value will be written.

Currently, my code results in an error description within System Explorer stating something like “Cannot convert ‘N/A’ to type Double”, where “N/A” was the string AFValue written to the attribute.

Thanks in advance.
