What kind of table do you mean exactly? In a general sense though, you cannot. You should use AF if you want to create a table.
Samuel is right. To give more information about AF Tables:
AFTables can be one of two types - Internal or External.
- Internal tables are stored in the PIFD database.
- External tables retrieve their data from an OLEDB external data source.
The PI Sytem is composed of two major components:
- The PI Data Archive is a Data Historian and does not really have tables internally its using data archives, I think you may have been thinking about PI this way.
- The AF Server, it is running over an SQL Server database. It is used to create hierarchies to better represent the data.
