I am in process of upgrading to PI Coresight 2014. Currently , 2012 is installed on our system.
Are there any "best practices" when doing such an upgrade?
thanks in advance..
I have moved this discussion in the PI Visualization space.
Other than scrupulously following the steps in the PI Coresight Installation and Administration guide (available here), we do not have a best practices document per se. The upgrade usually goes very smoothly, but if you run into issues, there's always TechSupport
Maybe other members of the community can share their experience.
We have a YouTube video that goes step-by-step through a PI Coresight 2014 installation. Granted, you are doing an upgrade and not a new installation, but I think enough has changed between 2012 and 2014 versions that you may still find it a helpful resource. For example, PI Coresight 2014 now uses the PI Web API, and the video goes over how to install that particular module.
I did an upgraded for my Coresight 2012 version to 2014 here in my office, and only I did the steps the appear into the Coresight user guide and that it, only the new Coresight has new elements and services to configure have in count it, follow the instructions
