This is the recording for the vCampus-exclusive webinar titled "Complex Event Processing (CEP) with Microsoft StreamInsight and PI" (part of the "Builders' Café" webinar series). This was held on February 24th, 2009.

This webinar presented how to use StreamInsight (a new streaming engine developed by Microsoft) and apply Complex Event Processing (CEP) to real time data from your PI System. The CEP query semantic expressed through LINQ programming offers new and efficient ways to process data while complementing the others OSIsoft analytical tools. During this webinar, we introduced the Community Technology Preview (CTP) of the PI input and output adapters for StreamInsight, with demos and query examples.

The version of Microsoft StreamInsight used in this webinar is the November CTP, which you can find here. This release of StreamInsight provides the documentation (also online on MSDN)
and the samples package as part of the installation. We strongly recommend to use the samples to become familiar with our product and its capabilities. You can find out more on the various aspects of the product on the StreamInsight Blog, and  discuss questions and issues with the community and the development team on the StreamInsight Forum.

The webinar concluded with a great Question and Answers (Q&A) session where the OSIsoft Product Manager and the Program Manager from Microsoft answered really interesting questions from the attendance.
