Builders' Café Webinar Series: Transitioning from ModuleDB to AF

This is the recording for the vCampus-exclusive webinar titled "Transitioning from ModuleDB to AF" (part of the "Builders' Café Webinar Series"). This was held on June 30th, 2010.

In the upcoming release of PI Server 2010, PI AF is included with and required by the PI Server. PI Server 2010 migrates your ModuleDB content to PI AF and uses an automatic two-way synchronization mechanism to allow you to access the content from both ModuleDB and PI AF. It is a great opportunity to look at migrating your application over to (or developing new applications on) PI AF.

In this webinar, we showed how you can take an existing application coded with PI SDK or based on Module Context in ProcessBook and migrate it to PI AF in a couple of sample code projects and ProcessBook display. You can find the samples showed in the webinar here.

The webinar concluded with a Question and Answers (Q&A) session where the speakers answered really interesting questions from the attendance.
