Visit Hands-on Labs to learn more about 50+ OSIsoft hands-on labs.
In this hands-on lab, you will learn how to build a Fog Computing infrastructure using the new Open Edge Module and plugins. A Fog Computing architecture defines a multilayer infrastructure for IoT, including an Edge layer for sensors and devices, a Fog layer for gateways, routers and data aggregators and a Cloud layer for data collection, analysis and visualization. We will teach you the basics of Fog Computing and how to use the Open Edge Module and the OSIsoft Message Format (OMF). You will be provided with multiple sensors, a Raspberry PI for data aggregation, a local PI system and a connection to a Cloud PI data system.
