OSIsoft Developer Network: spreadsheet interface

Cleaning up my archives, i stumbled upon a remnant of the old OSIsoft Developer Network: the spreadsheet interface! Essentially a plugin to Excel to load data from Excel into PI Points. See attached manual. It's from around 2008 but it still seems to work ok inmy Excel 2010.

With the repeated questions on how to import data from Excel into PI (don't forget to upvote here: Simple data import through SMT ), i was wondering if this could be revived? or maybe even integrated into PI DataLink? We've got a lot of code already lying around, the source code of the Excel macro shows its linked to the Devnet license.:
