I have a question regarding the PIAdvCalcVal function. In particular, I need to explain in detail how this function works:

PIAdvCalcVal('Calc'!$F$7;'Calc'!$V$7;'Calc'!$W$7;"total";"time-weighted";0;24;0;)

where 'Calc'!$F$7 is the tag name, 'Calc'!$V$7 is the start date and 'Calc'!$W$7 is the end date.

Since the Calc basis is "time-weighted", this means that the totalization is calculated using interpolated values?

It is calculated using archived values. You can read more about this in the help here. The two main modes are time-weighted and event-weighted totaling. If you are using time-weighted than the conversion factor becomes extremely important to understand. More on youtube:
