While configuring the PI Collective we cant add the servers to define them as primary and secondary. Is it required to open the ports 53 and 445 between Primary and Secondary.
I mean at both the server ?
I recommend you check out some of the following documentation regarding PI Data Archive collectives:
Prerequisites for collective creation:
Create a new PI Data Archive Collective
If you are still having trouble, can you be more specific? Are you using PI Collective Manager to form the collective? What errors are being thrown? What permissions does the account you are using to run PI Collective Manager have? Have you verified network connectivity between the Primary and Secondary members?
Hope this helps,
- Adam Fink
In order to add a member to a PI Collective, port 445 is required in order to initialize the secondary PI data archive in addition to 5450.
