Thanks for reaching out to us on PI Square! There are a couple of different methods for transferring data from DeltaV to PI. There are a couple of different options available to you depending on what your setup is:
-If you have the DeltaV Advanced Continuous Historian or DeltaV Enterprise Historian, you can use the PI to PI Interface in order to transfer over data into a PI Server.
-More generally, the PI OPC HDA Interface is a good option when looking to backfill from an OPC HDA Server.
P.S. When looking for interfaces that connect to certain Data Sources, a good place to look is on our Tech Support Page under Products > Interfaces & Connectors
We are using the DeltaV Continuous Historian and need to backfill old data in to the PI Server.
The OPC HDA has been used, but it looks like not all data is recovered. There is 8000 PI Tags, with a backfill of 10 years. This looks to be time consuming, and after doing a batch not all data is recovered.
The PI OPC HDA setup is backfill for one year at a time, with a group of 300 splitt in to 5 interfaces with the same pointsource.
I have requested support for this and made some adjustments, but it looks like data is still missing.
Any input to this would be helpful.

I think an issue such as this might be better handled as a Technical Support case, you can find our contact info here.
That being said, I would recommend checking you exception and compression settings on the destination PI Data Archive, as it's possible those missing events are getting compressed or excepted out. It also may be worth doing a smaller batch of data, turning on debugging for the interface to log events and timestamps if you aren't convinced those events are being sent through the interface.
