I'm to write an expression of excel for pi datalink that includes not equals to. How would you do this?
For example if I wanted to do ('sinusoid' not equals to 99), how would I write this on an excel cell?
Here is the table with all the relational operators
Less than or equal to
Not equal to
Greater than or equal to
Out of curiosity, where did you find that? Thanks it's really helpful
One of the great thing with DataLink is the contextual help menu. So I clicked on the function I was going to use, then F1, which opened the DataLink User Guide. From there, the following statement pointed to additional documentation for expression building:
Subsequent sections describe basic information about expressions. PI DataLink supports all the syntax, operators, and functions that PI Data Archive supports.
For a full description of performance equations and examples, see the PI Data Archive Applications User Guide or the PI 3 Performance Equations Help File. You can download these documents from the OSIsoft Tech Support Downloads page. You can also view these topics in PI Live Library.
The PI 3 Performance Equations Help File is actually on all client machines in %pihome%\help\pereference.chm. Inside, you will find all the documentation on building filter expressions.
