I found where a fit-all option was available on PI Vision display open was added to PI Vision 2017, but can't find how to do it or any reference in the PI Vision Administration or User's Guide...
If you click the "Fit all" button, then save the display, it will always do a fit all when the display is opened. As you've seen this, isn't very discoverable and I don't know that it ever got documented.
I think this feature was available in the 2017 release. One enhancement that was added in the 2017 R2 release is the ability to not only zoom out to fit, but also to zoom in. In 2017 the symbols would never get larger than the default size, but in 2017 R2 they will grow up to 4x (I think) so that the display will nearly always fill the screen, regardless of the screen size.
Please let me know if this doesn't work for you.
John - That worked great... It also explains why sometimes my displays resize and sometimes they do not...
My apologies for hijacking this thread, but is this a user-specific setting or global? I have an issue where for some users the display zooms out to fit all, but for some people it does not.
Hi Roger Palmen, sorry for my late response. The setting is saved with the display, so it should work for all users who open that display. You might want to open a support issue to see where the problem is.
Thanks John! I will look into that with Techsupport if i can't find the cause.
