How do you reset the time span back to the displays default in PI Vision?
Please let us know additional details on what you are trying to achieve.
When you open a PI Vision display it is set to a "default" time span (i.e. 12h)... if you change the time span (say to 1w or 1d), how do you get it to go back to 12h without having to reload the display?
You can modify startime as *-12h and endtime as * without reloading.
Thank you. But was hoping for more of a "reset time" button similar to Process Book.
Request you to use the highlighted redo and undo button to reset the display time accordingly to previous etc.
Thanks again, but that is in edit mode, not available in view mode.
Refresh the page is the simplest way.
Otherwise, clicking the default time range and selecting "Now" would be the other.
Lots of stuff gets cached in PI Vision so refreshing the page isn't a bad thing as such.
Refreshing the page does not reset the time span. I guess the "current" displayed timespan is cached in PI Vision?
Interesting, for me it does.
If you open a PI Vision display (not a hosted PB Display) it has a default time range (assuming you don't have the time range hardcoded in the URL as Query Parameters).
If I change it in any way using PI VIsion controls, it alters the display time.
If I then refresh the page in Chrome (who uses IE these days?), then it will refresh and revert to the default time range.
Please vote for the feature here.
