I would like to better understand the PII4BA data stream limitation so I can assess the effectiveness of the product to my use case.
First of all, what is considered a data stream? I know every PI tag on a view is a data stream, but if I have the same tag on different views does it count as more than one?
What about other attributes with different data references (or even without data reference, fixed values)? Are they also data streams in a view?
The PII4BA itself can generated new data from the other columns, like the day of the week from a timestamp, for instance. Is that a data stream as well?
In other words, is every column in a view a data stream?
If that is the case, I believe 100k maximum is too little for many use cases. There are lots of PI systems with hundreds of thousands to millions of tags.
After contextualizing these tags in AF, there is potentially much more millions of data streams.
Is the PII4BA not intended to attend these scenarios?
Is there a plan to increase limitation in the next releases?
Thanks and regards
