How do I configure a PI Point to save output history so that I can use it in another analysis. PLEASE?!?!?!
Any help much appreciated in advanced!
In the Analysis tab click "Save History":
James Devine We don't recommend frequently writing to static attributes (attributes with no data reference, <none>). This can cause some serious performance issues for the PI AF Server. If you are running AF 2017 R2 or later, the effects of frequent writes to static attributes is quite diminished but it is still not recommended.
There is two recommended analysis outputs:
If you only want the snapshot value, the proper approach is to write to a PI Point with the Archive flag set to false.
Hope this helps,
Without knowing the details of your analysis, you probably need to set the Data Reference for 'Boolean Operating Cyclone' and 'Boolean Value' attributes to "<None>". When you have any other Data Reference, except "PI Point" or "PI Point Array" I believe it stores short-term "output history" data in the SQL database. When you set them to <None> you just get the snapshot value for formula operators like 'TimeEq'.
