Can you point me at the Random Interface manual? I have looked for this but cannot find it :-(
Thanks for your help,
You can find on your PI Server machine under the folder C:\Program Files\PIPC\Interfaces\Random. You should find a Word document.
Hope it helps!
Or the key settings here in the LiveLibrary: livelibrary.osisoft.com/.../GUID-DCBBB722-21B8-4B14-A14B-75342F8D9D9D
I was looking for this manual today - Updating the links, as Roger's link is broken :/. I am also adding the link to the manual:
PI Random Interface User Manual
Random interface point configuration ( Live library)
Edit: Attached a small goodie, this is the excel file I use to create tags for test purposes when I need it.
This reinforces why I voted against online only documentation for interfaces in the recent poll!!
I was a bit surprised the link was broken as well, let me check on this!
Me too surprised. Online documentation (i voted in favor) works well and is faster to find information than looking through my vast library of PDF's, and then trying to explain on what page of what version of the PDF of what version of software to find the information.
BUT the GUID should not break... Did not have that issue before...
Ah, and i still like to have an easy way to copy-paste the GUID link!
I got information about it and in this specific occurrence the resource has moved. I was told this really rarely happens so we may consider this as very exceptional. Online documentation is quite useful, I agree with you Roger! And we do still write manuals for the time being Keilan. Hope this gives a bit of explanation.
